HOW TO USE YOUR FIRE BLANKET
STEP 1: Release Blanket
ANCHORED
When pouch is hanging and/or secured in place, pull down on straps with both hands.
NOT ANCHORED
When pouch is stored flat and not secured in place, hold top of pouch with one hand, and pull on straps with other hand.
STEP 2: Extinguish Fire
Cover fire with blanket. Be sure to cover all burning materials completely. Leave blanket in place until cool.
To extinguish a clothing fire,
guide person to the ground and cover fire with blanket. Provide first aid and call 911 if needed.
